I am currently providing both in-person and virtual sessions.
A few things you might want to know:
-
I am more than 2 weeks post-vaccination for COVID-19
-
I will not be wearing a mask during sessions
-
Our office is not requiring people in the waiting room to wear masks. (If you would like to wait in your car and text me when you arrive, I can let you know when I am ready and you can skip the waiting room!)
-
My office is set up with more than 6 feet between myself and my clients. I can not guarantee this separation with children as we are often on the floor playing.
-
Insurance requires that I designate where services occurred. Insurance willingness to pay for virtual sessions may be changing as things open back up. You will be responsible for contacting your insurance company to ensure that they will continue to reimburse for telehealth visits.
-
As always, if you are feeling ill I ask that you cancel your session or opt to do the appointment virtually. This will help me stay healthy and available to all my clients.
-
Prior to heading to the office, please be sure you have communicated to me your intention of meeting in person.
FOR VIRTUAL SESSIONS: My preferred way of doing this is through a HIPAA compliant platform with Simple Practice. A unique link is generated for each session to provide maximum security. This link is emailed to you in advance of the session.
If you are using a phone to connect, you'll want to download the Telehealth by Simple Practice Mobile app.
Please give attention to choosing a space that is confidential, quiet, and as free of distractions as possible.
For sessions with children, I ask that you have pen/pencil, crayons, and paper handy just in case we need it.
